Research
I am a Ph.D. student in the Bioinformatics laboratory of Dr. Jianlin Cheng. My research focuses on applying statistical machine learning techniques in molecular biology. The main techniques applied include neural networks, support vector machines, hidden Markov models, Bayesian networks, and clustering methods.
My research mainly focuses on protein structure prediction, protein model quality assessment, protein contact map prediction, protein fold recognition, protein disordered region prediction. I also participate in the development of Bioinformatics web-based tools and databases in our group, and some projects with soybean and maize researchers.
